RAPTURE, BLISTER, BURN by Gina Gionfriddo

Mitch and Murray Productions is very proud to present the Vancouver premiere of "Rapture, Blister, Burn" by Gina Gionfriddo, playing November 12th - 28th in our usual cozy confines at Studio 16!

Directed by Aaron Craven, starring Moya O'Connell, Robert Moloney, Lori Triolo, Anna Hagan and Courtney Shields.

Mitch and Murray Productions, an eleven time Jessie Richardson award nominee, presents another piece of razor sharp writing from playwright Gina Gionfriddo, who penned the company's 2013 hit production of "Becky Shaw". "Rapture, Blister, Burn" was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.

THE STORY: After grad school, Catherine and Gwen chose polar opposite paths. Catherine built a career as a rock star academic, while Gwen built a home with her husband and children. Decades later, unfulfilled in polar opposite ways, each woman covets the others life, commencing a dangerous game of musical chairs the prize being Gwen's husband. With searing insight and trademark wit, this comedy is an unflinching look at gender politics in the wake of 20th-century feminist ideals.
