May 2012 The Fremont Tour, a street theater.
The Fremont Tour is a mix of public sculpture and improvisational street theater. We learn about a Fremont "ART ATTACK", fire the Fremont Rocket and meet the Fremont Troll's cousin. We have costumes and props. Sometimes the tour guides use them and sometimes the tour participants use them. OUR MISSION IS TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO FIND THEIR PLAYFULNESS THROUGH ART AND HISTORY.
Our 2012 season operates from Saturday, May 19th through Sunday, September 30th. There are daily tours at 1:00 and 3:00 PM. We add a 5:00 PM tour on weekends and holidays.
Our entertaining street theater is located in the Fremont District of Seattle which is 4 miles north of downtown. It is about a 10 minute bus ride (#5,26, 28, 30). The tour is 1/2 mile long and takes 80 minutes. It is family friendly and wheelchair accessible.
We start at Solstice Plaza which is at the SE corner of North 34th Street and Fremont Avenue North (200 feet behind the sculpture Waiting for the Interurban).
CAUTION: WE TAKE HAVING FUN VERY SERIOUSLY!!!
