Puttin' On The Ritz

Puttin' On The Ritz will feature many of the standards of George and Ira Gershwin, Irving Berlin and Cole Porter from Broadway's Golden Age.

The program will feature Mac Davis arrangements of the Gershwins' Strike Up The Band, Summertime, and Someone To Watch Over Me. These well-known songs by Irving Berlin will be included: There's No Business Like Show Business, Alexander's Ragtime Band, Blue Skies, Puttin' On The Ritz and God Bless America. Cole Porter's songs include: Another Op'nin Another Show, I've Got You Under My Skin, Anything Goes and Night And Day. The above is just a small sample of the many songs to be performed with nearly all of them being very familiar.

There will be three performances including Friday and Saturday evenings, April 20 and 21, both at 7pm at Del Tech in Georgetown and Epworth United Methodist Church, Rehoboth Beach, respectively. The Sunday afternoon performance on April 22nd will be at 3pm in the Seaford High School auditorium.

Tickets for each performance are $20 for adults and $8 for students and will be available in March from any Choral Society member, at Browse About Books in Rehoboth, and at Puzzles in Lewes.
