Triskelion Arts Presents... Matthew Westerby Company and Emily Craver & The Little Streams
Matthew Westerby Company's work is characterized by a pure movement aesthetic combined with an abstract yet emotional connection to music and a dedication to spatial design. The Providence Phoenix writes of the choreography "two stunning pieces deal with humans' search for connections, physical and psychic, to support them through life's troubles." The company returns to Triskelion with a new, powerful, full-company piece. What happens to a tandem bike when its owners no longer care for one another? When a bicycle built for two is ridden solo? No need to rack your brains with these quandaries any longer! These pickles (and more) will be examined in musical variety show form by Emily Craver & The Little Streams. Heavily influenced by Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys, the company will put you at ease, soften the blow, and positively take the edge off.
