Women make up half the global population, and yet a global report on women in media showed that men occupy the vast majority of leadership and news-gathering jobs in most nations around the world. How would the world's news change if women had a greater voice in examining the stories that they read or hear each day? What unique perspectives do women journalists bring to their work exploring and to some degree promoting grassroots movements and social change?
