San Diego Women's Chorus presents Heart & Harmony
Celebrating 25 years of creating music in and for the San Diego community, SDWC is proud to present its 25th Anniversary Concert "Heart & Harmony."
Now almost 75 women strong, SDWC will perform songs that celebrate singing and the women's choral movement and that signify important moments from our past, as well as those that shine the way for the future. "Heart & Harmony" includes songs by Margie Adam, Lady Gaga, Indigo Girls, and Cris Williamson. SDWC is also thrilled to present the spiritual "Take My to the Water" and the Broadway hit "Brand New You" from the musical 13.
We are honored to sing "What Matters", an amazing song by Randi Driscoll about unconditional love and the hope for a brighter, more equal tomorrow that was written about Matthew Shepard's life and the love he represents. We are incredibly excited that Ms. Driscoll will be performing with SDWC at the Saturday May 5th performance.
The celebratory concert will feature a retrospective of the chorus, surprise visitors, a silent auction (get there early to start bidding), and of course the wonderful heart and harmony you've come to expect from SDWC. As we say at every rehearsal - "Come for the music, stay for the heart."
General admission tickets are $15. Discounts available for students, senior or military with valid ID. Children under 12 admitted free (must reserve ticket).
