Week Two: 8th Annual CubaCaribe Festival
The second weekend will mark the tenth home season of Alayo Dance Company. It will take place at Laney Theater's 300-seat house in Oakland. Alayo will explore and present a new work built around issues of the destruction of the oceans. Using a large net hung from the ceiling on which the dancers can climb, Alayo will mix dances for Yemaya (the Orisha or Yoruba deity of the sea) with modern dance.
Cash or Check Only Accepted at Laney Theater Box Office. No Sunday Matinee show.
