Romantasy Cabaret: a Naughty lil Vaudeville Cabaret is back for a sixth season at Club Red in Tempe. The 2012 season promises a slew of new acts and some of the most unique entertainment Phoenix has to offer.
Romantasy Cabaret is lauded as a veritable buffet of naughty pleasures, blending dazzling cabaret with saucy songstresses, vaudeville variety with low brow comedy skits and impressive dance ensembles with sexy burlesque. The show's bawdy emcee adds in a twist of raunch and a dash of grit making this show much like those campy revues of yore.
Romantasy Cabaret debuted in 2007 at Paper Heart in Phoenix and is still going strong as they raise the curtains on another season with shows offered on March 24, May 19, August 25, and October 20, 2012. The shows are held at Club Red at 2155 East University Drive in Tempe. The crew flings open their doors for eager fans at 7:30pm and the curtain rises at 8:30pm. Club Red boasts a stellar sound system, festive lighting and a raised stage so that every seat has a good view. Romantasy Cabaret sets the mood by adding table cloths, candles and mementos to the VIP and reserved seating areas. The finishing touch is a glittering backdrop and an entertaining bunch of Phoenix's silliest and sexiest performers.
Audiences enjoy three hours of variety entertainment at this 21 and over show, and are invited to nosh on yummy eats served up by popular Valley food merchants at affordable prices. Food providers vary by show and the offerings are guaranteed to be delicious. Past shows have featured fare from Chi-Chi's Tacos, DJs Brats n Dogs, and Big Belly's Barbecue.
Show attendees are encouraged to dress up in retro evening wear to be as much a part of the affair as the cast and crew themselves.
Raffle tickets are sold at every Romantasy Cabaret to benefit the cast's favorite charities. Raffle prizes include jewelry, Romantasy Cabaret memorabilia, free dance classes, pole fitness classes, music CDs, concert tickets and more.
Mizz Lucy Morals, the host and originator of Romantasy Cabaret, urges advance purchase of tickets as shows are expected to sell out. There are absolutely no refunds for any reason nor can tickets be exchanged for a different show date.
