Fort Mose Historic State Park, Duval County, FL. eco-Volunteers will remove exotic plants, primarily air potato, in various areas of the park. Volunteers will assist an AmeriCorps Member. It's similar to an Easter egg hunt but for potatoes.Help remove a 'monster' in our natural environment.Air Potato is an invasive exotic plant that spreads by tubers or 'potatoes' and the vines climb native trees and shrubs, engulfing them. Ongoing exotic plant removal projects help restore the parks natural vegetation.
FREE family pass to any Florida State Park for a future visit, mailed to you as a 'Thank You' for your service.
