The Laramie Project
Hello everyone! Please join us as we portray the true story of Matthew Shepard and the people of Laramie, Wyoming in a beautiful production of "The Laramie Project," directed by Alana Best, Romi Messer, and Chyna Quarker.
The Laramie Project is a play about the reaction to the 1998 murder of University of Wyoming gay student Matthew Shepard in Laramie, Wyoming. The murder was denounced as a hate crime motivated by homophobia and brought attention to the lack of hate crime laws in various states, including Wyoming. The play draws on hundreds of interviews conducted by the Tectonic Theater Project and published news reports.
The show's anti-hate message is one that should be shared, so please join us!
Performances: March 1, 2, 3 @ 7pm ; March 3 @ 2pm
