Three Friends, Six Instruments, Twenty Songs
These three musicians & friends will be doing a program of American Folk Songs, traditional music, contemporary country, and cabaret surprises. Danny Gotham is a native of Potsdam, NY, and a long-time resident of Chapel Hill. He's familiar to audiences from his many gigs around town, as well as having taught hundreds of students guitar, mandolin, and ukulele through over 30 years in the area. Joe Newberry's many talents encompass banjo, guitar, fiddle, and song. He's a Missouri native and an NC transplant who composes and performs across the state and the country with the band Big Medicine. He has also appeared multiple times on the iconic radio show, "Prairie Home Companion". Ellen Ciompi has sung for audiences across the Triangle, who appreciate her special blend of innovative programming and vocal expertise. She was transplanted from NYC to Durham over 30 years ago, and recently retired after almost 25 years as a surgical nurse.
