Nuestras Raices
The Guadalupe Dance Company's new Folklórico production pays homage to quintessential women of San Antonio and Mexico, including labor leader Emma Tenayuca, singer and actress Rosita Fernandez and dancer Berta Almaguer. With live musical accompaniment by the accomplished Mariachi Azteca de America, the dancers use traditional Folklórico dance and costuming with a contemporary panache that has become essential to the Company's vibrant repertoire.
