Ahh Nuts! | Art Against Allergies
James Caudle and Amanda Michele Dellinger are pleased to present Ahh Nuts! | Art Against Allergies, a benefit for a little boy named Lincoln Caudle who desperately needs a special dog to improve his quality of life. The benefit will feature live music by the Velvet Richmond Division, Life in a Blender and, a Tom Waits cover band, the Ol' 55's.

Twenty works of art will be displayed for silent auction by local artists: Amber Anderson, Tonia Arehart, Amanda Michele Dellinger, Yvette Endrijautzki, Mary Enslow, Caudled Milk, Marty Gordon, Zanetka Kralova Gawronski, Sarah Harvey, Gary Hill, Weston Jandacka, Karen Kosoglad, Brian Lane, Krispijn Larison, Andrea Loewen, Richard Morhous, Michael O'Driscoll, Jim Pirie, Amy Pleasent, Tina Routt and Thomas Wood.

What's more?? There will be raffle drawings throughout the evening and libations too, including beer sponsored by Georgetown Brewing Company!! You are cordially invited to join us and the artists on Saturday, February 25, 6PM at the Georgetown Arts and Cultural Center.

The deets: Lincoln is ten years old and has had life-threatening food and environmental allergies since he was a baby. Instead of outgrowing them, they are getting worse. When he has a reaction his lips swell, his throat closes and during his last reaction, he started having cardiac arrest symptoms. The doctors have told his family that the reactions are worsening and the time frame in which they have to get him to the hospital is dwindling.

The only solution for Lincoln at this time is to get him an allergy assistance dog. Like seeing eye dogs, these dogs are specially trained to assist their owner. For Lincoln, this smart pooch will sniff out hidden allergens not only in his foods, but also in his environment. Of course, Lincoln is also allergic to dogs, so he needs a Super Sniffer - a hypoallergenic breed. The total cost of a Super Sniffer is $20,000. We're trying to raise $5000.
