Eye in the Sky
San Francisco, CA
A debut from director Yau Nai-Hoi, a frequent collaborator and scriptwriter for Johnny To classics, this is a remarkable film about the secret surveillance branch of the Hong Kong police. It tells the story of a new recruit, nicknamed Piggy by her mentor Dog-Head, as she undergoes an on-job training of sorts in their case to track down criminals involved in a jewelery heist, led by "Hollow Man". Simon Yam and Tony Leung Ka Fai square off in this cat-and-mouse police thriller which is one of the best Hong King films in 2007. Directed by Nai-Hoi Yau Cast: Simon Yam, Tony Leung Ka Fai, Kate Tsui CANTONESE WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLES/ 90 MINUTES/ 2007
