Labor & Lust 2012
All of the proceeds of this event help support the Mudhens RFC and the growth of the sport as a whole. These funds help to pay for fields, referees, & equipment throughout the year.
Throughout the Spring in 2012, the Mudhens will be traveling to colleges in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, to conduct rugby clinics. Our players and coaches provide teaching and analysis of the techniques and strategy of rugby, thereby encouraging player growth and the love of the sport. Through these clinics we have seen an immediate impact in how younger players approach the game.
Over the summer of 2012, the Mudhens will continue to build our relationship with our rugby neighbors to the north in Canada. The Mudhens will participate in multiple 7's tournaments in the Vancouver area which has an excellent and advanced women's rugby community. We hope to build on the friendships we have made to continue to challenge our skills as a club.
In the Fall of 2012, the team will be focused and prepared to play in the 15's competitive season. So much hard work, time, and sweat all lead to this time of year for the Mudhens. The team plays league games up and down the West Coast. The Mudhens hope to once again propel themselves to the National playoff tournament and represent the city of Seattle with great pride.
