Peggy Ford Benefit

This show is a celebration of Peggy Ford, a major figure in the Bay Area and National Circus Community for almost 40 years, who recently passed away. The show will feature performances from many of Peggy's friends, colleagues, and students, internationally known variety, theatre, and circus performers, and the best of Bay Area Talent, including Barbary Coast Amusements Boss clown and former Ringling Clown Sara Moore and Pickle Circus & Cirque du Soliel clown, Jeff Raz.

Peggy was one of the first women clowns on the Ringling Brothers Circus, the Artistic Director of the seminal social circus company Make*A*Circus and, as Program Director of the Circus Center, helped to establish and run the Clown Conservatory, where she championed young women (and men) on the road to clown-dom. As a legacy, she wanted to have an award, the Peggy Ford Award, given to help young women to become professional clowns. The Proceeds from this show will go to cover unpaid expenses from Peggy's illness, and to establish the fund for the Peggy Ford Award.

Part of the purchase price of a 1st Row Seat ($100), 2nd Row Seat ($75), or 3rd Row Seat ($50) goes to the benefit of one ticket to an individual that would otherwise be unable to attend the event. We thank you for your support.
