All The Great Books (abridged)
All The Great Books (abridged) Written By: Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor
Stage Door Productions is presenting it's first plat of the new year with its comedy "All the Great Books (abridged)," a play that condenses 86 classics of world literature into 90 riotous, laugh-filled minutes. The three cast members (Kimberly Kemp, Jon Gardner, and Rudy Lane) use every weapon in their comedic arsenal to prepare their students (the audience) to pass the final exam in Western Literature. Slapstick, cross-dressing and goofy jokes abound in this play written by Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor of the Reduced Shakespeare Company. Moby Dick. Little Women. The Odyssey. War and Peace. Does the mere mention of these classic book titles make you cringe with painful high school memories? If so, there may still be hope for you to salvage a little enjoyment out of these classic works by taking in a performance of All the Great Books (abridged) as made famous by The Reduced Shakespeare Company.
