UPDATE: SOLD OUT! Please save the date for our Spring Concert featuring guest artists Oen Kennedy and Friends on April 10th at the Regent Theatre.
Family Folk Chorale mines the recent top 40s for future classics. An epic sing-a-long with you, your family, a 60 voice chorus and an amazing band. The songs of Pharell Williams, Alicia Keys, Sara Bareilles, Jason Mraz and more...
This fall, The Family Folk Chorale & Pihcintu Multinational Children's Chorus will join voices to present "Happiness Is the Truth," an afternoon of uplifting sing-along pop music of the 21st century.
FFC artistic director, Chris Eastburn says "We are looking forward to sharing this afternoon with you and your family. We'll have an amazing band, a collection of awesome songs, and a powerful combined chorus of 80 voices leading an epic sing-a-long event! This may be too much fun!"
While contemporary pop music may seem like a break from tradition for the Family Folk Chorale, these songs fit right in with some of our favorite themes like community, hope, empowerment and peace. We have a memorable selection of future classics to share with you.
Along with you and your family we'll be singing tunes like Pharrell Williams' "Happy", Sara Bareilles' "Brave," and Bruno Mars' "Count On Me," as well as more classic love songs like "Lucky," by Jason Mraz. The kids will present "1, 2, 3, 4" by Feist (as done on Sesame Street), and our Wisdom Singers will treat you to the already classic, "Viva La Vida," by Coldplay. And how could we forget Meghan Trainor's 2014 surprise sensation "All about That Bass?"
We will also perform "Small Craft," by David Keevil, a co-winner of our 2015 songwriting contest. More information about David Keevil is available at www.DavidKeevilMusic.com.
Our combined 80-member chorus ranges in age from 1 to 75 and is backed by the stellar FFC band, featuring Gary Backstrom and others.
Join us and sing along with the music of this generation and generations to come!
Family Folk Chorale, founded in 1999, is the premier multi-generational ensemble in the Boston area. Family Folk Chorale is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
