Jack Dishel: And Then Things Got Weird

The Peoples Improv Theater
New York, NY

Jack Dishel is best known as a songwriter and musician, touring all over the world performing as Only Son and also playing lead guitar in The Moldy Peaches.

This year he has literally exploded onto the comedy scene, doing multiple runs of hour-long shows at both the Sidewalk Cafe and The PIT Underground -- without ever  repeating material. It's sometimes hilarious, sometimes dark, but always interesting. Dishel has the unique ability to keep an audience engaged the entire time they're in a room. Whether speaking as one of his many characters or in his own voice, his ideas come through loud and clear. Mixing written material and improvisation, no one can be quite sure where the show will go -- including Jack. It's a fast hour.

This June he'll be taking his act to the main stage at the PIT for a three-show residency. Each Saturday night will be an hour of all-new material, including multimedia presentations and secret guests. Things are about to get weird in here...
