The Waiter - Preview Performances
Billy Beasley begins to suspect that his summer employment at a diner in a struggling steel mill community is the job from hell - literally. With the unwitting help of his new friends - a surrogate family of sorts - he uncovers a dark secret from his own past that explodes out of today's headlines. This revelation will either lead to his redemption or keep him trapped forever.
Set in 1976, the year of The Bicentennial, the city of Pueblo, Colorado seems a harbinger of challenges we face today:
Hardworking people scrape just to barely get by. The industries on which we rely slowly poison our environment. Gay kids contemplate suicide in a harsh and rejecting world. And the rites of passage from adolescence to adulthood are riddled with both hazards and hope.
Filled with laughter and tears, The Waiter is an unforgettable story of family, unlikely friendships, and the healing potential in relationships.
