By Andrea Assaf and Samuel Valdez Directed by Dora Arreola Performed by Andrea Assaf, Samuel Valdez, and Maria Vale
Performance Run: 7:30PM, March 15 - March 17, 2012 Tickets: $12 advance, students, seniors, groups of 10+ | $15 door
A straight man with cerebral palsy and a queer woman recount their adventures, and share their woes, of unsuccessful attempts to seduce (straight) women. Their lives on both sides of the border intersect one night, when they meet at a Tijuana bar, and become entwined in each other's stories. Their parallel and interweaving tales of unrequited love reveal the illusions of normalcy, and the liberation possible when choosing life outside the circle. This funny, heartbreaking, experimental play brings people together across identities and communities, to explore what love is, and what happens to love when we internalize society's phobias. Bilingual, English & Spanish. Adult language & content. Please join us for post-show dialogues on March 16 & 17!
Pre-sold tickets are available for pick-up through will call at Intermedia Arts on each performance evening. If tickets are not claimed 15 minutes after the scheduled start time of the performance, the unclaimed tickets may be released to a waiting list.
