ABOUT THE SHOW: "What Ever Happened to my ICONS?" is a beautifully rich fable written by Filippo Gurrieri about the influence of powerful cultural icons and the glamorous and dangerous - world of Old Hollywood. Ghosts of memories are disrupting the reality of an artist as he visits his childhood memories with his grandmother in Sicily.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR/CHOREOGRAPHER: Known as a world class latin ballroom dancer and for creating beautiful, dramatic and artistic performance, Filippo Gurrieri, is an Italian native from the island of Sicily. At the early age of eight he became the youngest dancer to train and become the winner of the Sicilian Championship for Ballroom and Latin American Dance. Gurrieri later went on to achieve the "Italian Champion of Latin American Standard Dance" and held the title for four consecutive years. After years of training Gurrieri went on to open a franchise of dance schools throughout Sicily named "Magic Moment Dance School". In 2000, Filippo expanded into acting and moved to Rome where he became a graduate of the Theatre Academy and later secured a contract to work with well known Italian Actress Anna Mazzamauro. For five years he continued to tour many important theaters throughout Italy as an actor and choreographer. In 2007, Gurrieri relocated to the USA, to further pursue his dreams and has continued to mesmerize audiences with his powerful and passionate performances.
