Big City Improv Festival & Bad Dog presents: ROOMS (or, The Castle on the Hill)
Set in Edwardian Toronto, Rooms is a rollicking improvised farce about the lords and ladies of the house, and the domestics who serve them. Director Sandy Marshall has devised this "3D play" in a way that allows the audience to see the same window of time through the very different lenses of the inhabitants of the house. Even the best houses are not without turmoil now and again.
Starring: Ashley Marie Comeau (Live Journal, Wayward), Connor Thompson (Second City, Throne of Games), Diana Frances (Vancouver Theatresports League), Greg Komorowski (Chef in Your Ear - Food Network Canada), Lisa Merchant (Monkey Toast, Train 48), and Sam Roulston (The Expat Show). Directed by Sandy Marshall (iO Chicago, Schadenfreude)

ABOUT BIG CITY IMPROV FESTIVAL
Now entering its fourth year, Big City Improv Festival is Canada's largest improv showcase, featuring the best performers from across North America. Our audiences pack the houses to see their favourite groups perform, as well as discover new favourites from the festival's stellar programming.
What's improv you say? Improv, according to no Webster dictionary ever created, is the art of "making stuff up on the spot". Our talented improvisers get on stage and perform what could be called a completely improvised one-act play, often with no more to inspire them than a single suggestion from the audience. Many of the world's best improvisers have gone on to perform at The Second City, on Saturday Night Live, or in your favourite television show or movie.
Big City Improv Festival featured Tim Baltz (Drunk History, VEEP), Jerry Minor (Community, Saturday Night Live), Phil Lamarr (Mad TV, Futurama, Family Guy), Steve Little (Eastbound and Down), Paul Brittain (Saturday Night Live), Jet Eveleth (The Reckoning), and local improv juggernaut MANTOWN, to name a few. We've hosted comedy from all over Toronto, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Montreal, Vancouver, and more.
