| Description |
Perhaps the most endearing duo to grace the West Coast folk music scene, a reunited Ginny Reilly & David Maloney bring their timeless sound to North Seattles Meadowbrook neighborhood for their fourth-annual Holiday Concert with Pugets Sound. Expect old favorites, new-classics, and plenty of seasonal material from these two storied, accomplished musicians.
With careers that date back to 1970 and a devoted following in the Northwest, Reilly & Maloney packed houses across the country, sharing stages with the likes of Judy Collins, Tom Paxton, and Greg Brown. Anyone who has ever heard Davids fine baritone interlace with Ginnys pure soprano in-person can testify to the power and pleasure of the experience: a small antidote to the fear, despair, and powerlessness that is part of our current world, as one folk-music DJ (John Weingarten, WPRB-FM) has described it. After a 10-year hiatus from 1991-2001, the pair returned to performing, and communities across the country are discovering and remembering the uplifting, heartwarming feelings that a night with Reilly & Maloney will provide.
A federal 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, Pugets Sound Productions has dedicated itself over the past five years to reconnecting the local community with accessible live-music options, hosting or co-presenting concert series in a variety of locations and neighborhoods. Previously held at Meadowbrook Community Center, this event moves just a few blocks up the street to the Community Hall at Maple Leaf Lutheran Church in Meadowbrook for its fourth-annual occurrence. |
