The Double Trouble Tour
Instead of attending an awkward 20 year high school reunion, Collin Chace and Seth Lepore decided to tour their one-man comedies in tandem. These award-winning actors use chameleon-like abilities to shape-shift between characters for a laugh yourself to tears look at mental health and the happiness industry.
The Rock N Wrestle Road Show In Chace's "one-man/multiple personality" Rock N Wrestle Roadshow, folks ranging from a potty-mouthed heiress to an 8 year-old-poet to an American civil rights leader-turned-British tube station announcer have been released from a mental health ward. Rejoining the outside world with their new perspectives on race relations, gay marriage, war, and the big issues of our time, it's a celebration of folks who've been written off as deranged, and affirms them as essential voices for social change.
SuperHappyMelancholyexpialidocious Lepore turns the happiness industry on it's head to unearth the farcical ideology of the positive thinking movement. From Texas megachurches turned motivational hothouses, to the latest testament of self-actualization from Oprah's Book Club, nothing is safe from Lepore's scrutinizing looking glass. He uses his fecund observations of our fascinating hang-ups with happiness to expose the true cost of this ongoing pursuit.
Living in the skin of their characters, Lepore and Chace combine their masterful skills as playwrights and actors to shine a light on the overlooked figures of society with a wry grace.
