Voces del Desierto

An original concept and composition by Guillermo Galindo specifically written for Quinteto Latino.

Voces del Desierto is a performance which honors the unnamed immigrant who crosses the US Mexico border in search of a better life. This performance utilizes video, hand-made instruments created from immigrants personal belongings found at the border, and traditional wind instruments.

$15 at the door; $12 in advance; $10 students/migrants(Fee for migrants available at the door the night of the event).

"Voces del Desierto"  original concept and composition by Guillermo Galindo specifically created for Quinteto Latino, commissioned by MACLA with funding from the Wallace Gerbode Foundation and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
