Artists at Albatross Reach, Salon Performance - presented by Gualala Arts Chamber Music Series
Yes, indeed, that is our own local "Albatross Reach" on
The Sea Ranch, where Jennifer's parents own a home and
where the AaAR members are happy to gather either as a
duo ( Jennifer & Adam) or with any number of supremely
talented guest artist friends such as, for this delightful
"Salon" performance, acclaimed violinist Matt Albert.
Jennifer Beattie, Adam Marks, and their collaborators
are at home on concert and opera stages of New York,
Philadelphia, and other major venues. Each is an
outstanding young artist making a big splash in today's
performance world.
Jennifer, Mark, and guests have thrilled local audiences
with a number of salon performances over the past couple
of years, both in private homes and also recently at Gualala Arts Center on Memorial Day weekend 2015.
Why salons? In their own words, "Salons are the most
intimate of concert experiences, designed to encourage
relaxed dialogue, foster new thought, and forge meaningful
relationships between artists and audience. Our salons
are structured with equal parts energy and entropy, and
feature works of art in various stages of development and
preparation."
Although your Chamber Music Committee over its 30+
year history has brought similar multi-talent performances
to the Gualala stage, it has been quite a number of years since that last occurred. We look forward with eager anticipation to bringing Artists at Albatross Reach to our audience.
