Fatally Cool Fatally Cool is an acoustic performance art cover band specializing in live mash-ups, quirky covers, and offbeat originals. They thrive on creating eccentric and original characters and telling stories through song. After a year of making their home at Mary's Attic with a once a month show, they've decided to branch out and share their talents with the world. Recently they've performed at Ace Bar, Underground Lounge, Park West (opening for the Stage Door Johnnies show), and were asked to audition for the one and only America's Got Talent! Upcoming shows include Cake Chicago at the Red Line Tap in March and a live band burlesque show with Vaudezilla in late April.
Acoustic instrumentation, wicked vocal harmonies, and awesome layers. Check them out at youtube.com/fatallycoolforever. So cool, it'll kill ya.
Dyke Van Dick Dyke Van Dick has been tumbling over ottomans and into people's hearts since his debut at the Old Town School of Folk Music's ALT Q festival this past spring. When he's not taking spills, Dyke Van Dick is sending shivers down spines with his swoon-worthy crooning. DVD is one of a rare breed of drag performers with live vocals, backed by a live band, offering the perfect combination of showmanship and musicianship.
Skinny Paul Chicago based Skinny Paul's brand of "acoustic sensitive guy" music as one promoter termed it has entertained audiences since he was a child. At 4 years old while "playing" his brothers guitar he was never to touch he "accidentally" put his foot through the back of the instrument and knew at that moment that he wanted to play music for the rest of his life. His writing style is very conversational so anyone can relate to the situations he has put himself into. He often comes off as the narrator of how men behave both badly and one you would love to take home with you. He has shared the stage with Dave Tamkin, Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root, and won the 2004 Sam Ash Battle of the Bands in Chicago. In 2011 SP teamed up with Ed Gershon and Grant Neibergall of the band Butterfly in Traffic to form a trio. The chemistry the 3 share is absolutely amazing to witness.
