| Description |
Russel is quite a reserved man - introspective, unobtrusive and painfully shy. As a child he had one true - albeit invisible - friend. But Russel's friend was a little different from other kids imaginary playmates...he was a Giant Invisible Robot programmed to destroy. And, unlike other kids who grow up and abandon their imaginary friends, Russel has managed to maintain his friendship with Robot over the years, forming an indivisible bond even though Russel is continuously frustrated by Robots need to destroy whole cities and Robot must constantly suppress his programming to avoid crushing Russel like an ant.
"Yes, the robot's invisible. But whats plain to see is that writer/performer Jayson McDonald is a remarkable talent, and delivers one of the finest shows of the festival. Hes a skilled comic actor and natural storyteller." 5 Stars CBC Manitoba
"By turns sweet, funny and visceral...turns downright moving when the robot weighs in on loneliness, revealing the 50-minute show's giant invisible heart." 4 Stars Winnipeg Free Press
