Qater Al Nada Muayad Mousa Alayan / Palestine / Short Film / 2007 Qater Al-Nada is a self-created and self-taught dance troupe in Beit Safafa, the only Arab neighborhood remaining in West Jerusalem. Directed by a former San Francisco resident, the film follows troupe members as they practice and teach Debkeh - the traditional Palestinian stomp dance. Heart and Spirit Molka Mahdaoui / Tunisia / Documentary / 2003 Following the rise to success of a Tunisian sacred music group performing Hezb Al-latif, a traditional Islamic chant, this transporting documentary focuses on the groups founder, Ahmed Jelman, a young sheikh who embodies urban spirituality as he stays connected to his faith and art by performing publicly and among families.
