Poetry+Motion: Love, Our History
Is there any coincidence that love and African American history are celebrated in the same month? In the newest Poetry+Motion, local dancers put motion to original poems on love and African American history read by the local poets who wrote them. Returning dancers include Dani Long, Erricka Turner Davis, Scott Bartell, and Victoria Jacobs. Poets include Basheera Agyeman, Brenda Gale Wright, Georgia McDade, Imani Sims, Karen Entrantt, Marcel Davis, and Raul Sanchez. A reception with the cast will follow the performance.
