Celebrating Women of Soul, Rhythm & Blues

Gifted pianist Kristian Alexandrov leads a six-piece band with horns, featuring powerhouse singer/percussionist Shannon Gaye to present R.E.S.P.E.C.T. - celebrating women of Soul, Rhythm & Blues. The stellar band will be joined by special guests Britt & Carly McKillip (of One More Girl), uber-talented siblings with an undeniable vocal blend & style.

The evening's performance pays homage to trailblazing female artists - classic icons like Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Etta James and Bonnie Raitt as well as contemporary artists such as Alicia Keys, Jill Scott and Joss Stone.

6:30 pm - Cocktail Reception with catering by Christine Catering Company - a delectable assortment of hors d'oeuvres served in the elegant atmosphere of the Galleria at Port Moody City Hall. Come early and enjoy a beverage from our cash bar, and relax to the backdrop of music and artistic expression.

8:00 pm - Enter our intimate, reserved seating theatre for the debut performance of R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

There will be one intermission with a variety of complimentary desserts, tea and coffee. Other refreshments will be available from our cash bar.

This fund-raising event supports the Port Moody Arts Centre's 'Making it Work' campaign.
