Ken Arconti's lyrical guitar playing and soulful singing have taken him from the stage of the Monterey Jazz Festival to performing as guest soloist with the Santa Cruz County Symphony. He has opened in concert for blues greats Robert Cray, Buddy Guy and John Lee Hooker, and shared the stage with legendary artists Zigaboo Modeliste and John Mayall.
Ken will be bringing his wares to Kuumbwa Jazz to celebrate the release of his latest CD "Catbird Seat," an intimate recording of his solo acoustic guitar playing and singing. Although recently reunited with the acoustic guitar, Ken has not abandoned his beloved '64 Gibson Firebird and promises a night of acoustic and electric music that journeys from blues to roots based rock to rhythm and blues and beyond.
Joining Ken will be Steve Evans on bass (Roy Rogers, Coco Montoya), Randy Hayes on drums (Coco Montoya, Chris Cain), and Luca Fredericksen on keyboards (Walter "Wolfman" Washington, The Pontiax). Plus Trish Pate (Dan Hicks), Craig Owens (Lacy J. Dalton), and Scott Owens on backing vocals.
