May Workshop: Think Like A Filmmaker
Presenter: Brianna Barrett
We will discover what movies can teach us about storytelling in the context of telling true-life, personal stories! Enhance your storytelling by thinking about it as a visual medium, exploring how film structure regulates pace to introduce conflict, establish locations and characters, and how those same techniques can be translated into building the world of your story.
We will also look at the benefits gained from filming our own rehearsal and performance videos, as well as the 'how to' of filming both informal and formal video projects.
