Future of Health: Eric Topol: The Digital Medical Revolution
Eric Topol says medicine is poised for its biggest shakeup in history as a new convergence of technologies pulls it into the digital era. The pioneering cardiologist/geneticist, author of The Creative Destruction of Medicine, describes a brave new world of Medicine 2.0, in which we will be able to digitize man from womb to tomb and provide ICU-level care in the home or anywhere. More importantly, Topol says, this revolution will lead to a true democratization of medicine, giving us the information and with it, the power to take charge of our health.
