Trinity Jazz Festival
The 11th Annual Trinity Jazz Festival features some of the finest jazz talent in America. The extraordinary vocal virtuoso Kevin Mahogany, of whom Billboard declared, "Kevin Mahogany is unquestionably one of today's most exciting and musically adept jazz vocalists," headlines Saturday night; and Friday's headliner is master saxman Richie Cole, director of the Alto Madness Orchestra.
Guitar maven Jack Langley (Saturday), along with multi-instrumentalist (woodwinds, keyboards and percussion), vocal musician and composer Horace Alexander Young (Friday) are openers.
New this year is a performance at 6:30 by the jazz group, COTS Jazz Crew, whose members consist of formerly homeless but talented musicians who are turning their lives around. Winners of this year's Prestige Awards will perform during the pre-concert receptions.
