2015 Rising Stars Gala

This fundraiser gala will provide scholarships for students to attend our community's most valuable math and science education programs. The 7th Annual Rising Stars Gala, sponsored by CH2M Hill, will be held on October 10, 2015, at the Senior Citizen's Hall, doors open at 6:00. The Gala will include a dinner buffet, live music, live and silent auctions, cash bar, gaming, photo booth, and other fun activities.

Proceeds from the Gala provide scholarship funds for local youth to attend educational programs presented by Schreder Planetarium and Whiskeytown Environmental School, and fund the Clair Hill Scholarship at Shasta College. Our mission is to help provide more science and engineering related education opportunities to our youth.

Due to the impact of the current economy on local families, many children are unable to attend these important local science and engineering youth education programs that provide the motivation and inspiration needed to make decisions about continued education and careers. In the past six years our community rallied and generated over $125,000 from the Rising Stars Gala and supported over 3,000 children to attend camps at the planetarium and/or Whiskeytown Environmental School.
