Vigilance
Under the guise of "poker night," three neighbors band together to protect their homes and families from a violent newcomer. Having won a house in a promotional raffle, Tom Duncan has proceeded to dismantle the neighborhood, bit by unsettling bit. With their options thinning, his neighbors confront him, escalating the conflict to a height where murder seems the only likely outcome. But as their own secrets spill forth, can they survive the aftermath? Winner of the John Golden Prize, this provocative drama examines the lines between vigilantism, murder, and justice.
"Gripping," writes the San Francisco Examiner. "A thought-provoking, substantive examination of contemporary problems. A winner."
"The ensemble is excellent, a remarkably well-written piece," says TheatreStorm and the Examiner.com. "Highly recommended."
"Sharp, lucid, and involving," raves the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
