Let It Ride

Red Vic Movie House
San Francisco, CA

Let It Ride: In a world of X-Games and multi million dollar endorsements, the fact that Craig Kelly talks of spirituality, of the connection between the soul, the mountains and snowboarding, is the first sign that this film is going to be different.Craig held more than 7 major Snowboard Championship titles but gave it all up to dedicate his life to big mountain back-country riding - and he became the best at it. With interviews spanning 25 years Let it Ride! documents the early days of the sport, the rise of Craig to the top, his worldwide search for knowledge and his dedication to sharing his experiences by becoming the first accredited mountain guide on a snowboard. This is a funny, exhilarating and tragic story, and a unique look at the sport and culture that made snowboarding what it is today. Music by: Metallica, Pearl Jam, K-Os, Johnny Cash, The Doors, Zion I, and many more. Special admission: $10. No passes or punchcards. (90m)
