1920. THE WORLD'S MOST IMPORTANT BATTLE is Polish megaproduction about one of the world's most important battles which saved Europe from a global communist revolution. It portrays a miracoulous and heroic victory of Polish army over the Vistula River. The battle lost by a powerful Red Army put an end to the Lenin's dreams of conquering the whole continent.
The movie is a pictoresque epic story of love in the time of war. This grand scale production brings to memory the best pictures of the genre like Gone with the Wind and War and Peace. The fictional characters intertwine with great historical figures including Marshall Jozef Pilsudski, Lenin, Stalin, or Trotsky.
1920. THE WORLD'S MOST IMPORTANT BATTLE is released in 3D, becoming the first stereoscopic live action production in Europe.
The impressive crew includes internationally-acclaimed veteran director Jerzy Hoffman, nominated to the Academy Award for his Deluge (1974), a recipient of numerous prestigous awards. He is one of Poland's most successful filmmakers of all times. His blockbusters hits break all the box office records in Poland, including With Fire and Sword, the biggest money-making film production in a history of Polish cinema. Slawomir Idziak is a director of photography, adding another splendid work to his earlier portfolio - the Oscar nominated Black Hawk Down, King Arthur, and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Jerzy R. Michaluk, most eminent and prolific Polish film producer, whose credits include the Academy nominated Days and Nights and With Fire and Sword, among many others, is in charge of the overall production.
The movie is starring a great number of oustanding Polish and European actors, including Daniel Olbrychski, Borys Szyc, Boguslaw Linda, Sasha Domagarov and beautiful and very talented Natasza Urbanska who is debuting on a big screen. CAST:
