The Concert (Le Concert)
Charlotte Jewish Film Festival film co-sponsored by The Light Factory as part of the community wide March cultural Tchaikovsky Festival.
Andrei Filipov had reached the pinnacle of his profession as the renowned conductor of the Bolshoi Orchestra but he was fired for using Jewish musicians. Thirty years later and now a janitor at the Bolshoi, he gets a chance for redemption as he attempts to reunite his players (a cast of colorful characters) to play one last grand performance.
"The Concert" is a feel-good film about commitment, loyalty and most importantly, the incredible healing power of music!
