Queen Queens of Qomedy All Stars
The Queer Queens of Qomedy "All-Stars" are coming to San Diego Sept 13th to The MG Space.

The Queer Queens of Qomedy All-stars are back for one night only. Poppy Champlin producer and ringleader for the troupe which has been touring for 10 years, is thrilled to bring the Q3 All-stars to a new venue in San Diego, The MG Space. 3090 Polk Ave.
This is also the official South Bay Pride afterparty.  Support provided by  Sally Hall and " Girls Night Out San Diego"  Come and be a part of the community.
The All-stars is comprised of 5 top touring acts including,
Poppy Champlin:  Originally from RI Poppy left in 1988 and sought her fame in Chicago were she won the title " America's Funniest Real Woman" on The Joan Rivers Show and she climbed up from there. Having appeared on Oprah, LOGO, HBO, SHOWTIME and Comics Unleashed, Poppy is happy to have found her niche in the LGBT community and producing the Q3 shows all over the country.
Vickie Shaw, from Texas where she says, "the speed limit is a suggestion." Vickie is a veteran comic who was part of Comedy Central's flagship show Premium Blend she also has a one-hour comedy special on LOGO called "You Can Take The Girl Out of Texas!" Vickie's been working the Gay circuit for many years making that yearly pilgrimage to Provincetown for Women's Week, as well as copious prides, festivals, clubs not to mention her high ranking status on Olivia cruises. Vickie will charm you immediately with her southern hospitality that is accompanied by her shocking wit. Being a mother and grandmother, Vickie says she just happens to be a lesbian. Her long time partner, Sgt. Patch, has certainly learned how to take a punch line.
Mimi Gonzalez:  is Ohio born, Michigan raised and have Cuban Italian decent. With 20 years of comedy under her belt, there is nowhere Mimi won't go for a laugh.  Mimi has garnered such credits as LOGO, Latino Laugh Festival, The Today Show and she has worked for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Mimi is a high- octane comedian whose subjects range from the profound, to the political and the bawdy. A real comedy trooper, Mimi keeps it fresh.
Jennie McNulty: Is one of the premiere LGBT comedians in the country. With shows on LOGO and NBC Jennie has carved out a career for herself. Traveling with Gay cruise ships, running her own show in Ventura at The rainbow Room, and creating her own talk show called " Walking Funny With" she is happy and busy doing and teaching stand up comedy.
Karen Williams: Has been leading the charge in the lesbian community for years. She has a LOGO Special called "I Need a Snack" She is a mother, a grandmother and now Karen is focusing on healing the world with humor.  She has started her own humor institute in Cleveland OH.  She is a radicalist, humorist, a politicalist, and a proud black woman on the A list.  One of the best!
Mel and Nick:  Are opening the show for the second time.  A Great comedy musical duo, these two play lesbian themed songs with a political edge.  Singing for their non profit organization that helps fight domestic violence and sexual abuse, Out With It, this show is going to be fun and helpful to the community.

This show is always a party. Come out and enjoy a full night of comedy and music.  There is a bar.
