BEST Employers Alliance Launch & Luncheon
The Employers Alliance is a coalition of businesses, government, and civic associations committed to reducing sex trafficking and sex buying. The September 29th launch will unveil the beginning of a national effort to use the power of the business community to address this important issue.

Members of the Employers Alliance recognize the vital role they can play in protecting trafficking victims, while at the same time helping and protecting their businesses. There is a high prevalence of sex buying and solicitation by employees during working hours, while traveling on company business, and even utilizing business services and properties. Traffickers also take advantage of business properties and services to commit their crimes. These practices put employers at legal, financial, and reputational risk. For this reason, employers are joining forces to say, "No more."

The event and luncheon will be 12:00 to 1:00 on September 29th at the law firm of Perkins Coie in downtown Seattle, followed by an optional networking period and best practices workshop:

    - 11:30 Doors Open
    - 12:00-1:00pm Launch & Luncheon
    - 1:00-1:30 Optional Networking Period
    - 1:30-2:30 Optional BEST Practices Workshop & Panel

*In addition to registering for the main program and luncheon, please also register separately for the 1:30 best practices workshop and panel if you plan to attend.

The following dignitaries will be in attendance: Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg, County Executive Dow Constantine, City Attorney Pete Holmes, media, numerous legislators from the region, and business and business association leaders from the region and the wider United States.

Perkins Coie has generously donated a location and we are seeking additional sponsors to offset the costs of promotion, material production, food and beverage, speaker airfare, and other logistical items. Your support will help promote both the event and this important effort to end trafficking through the power of business.
