Word for Word presents stories of food, appetite, and pleasure from two great writers: satirist T.C. Boyle with the witty, fervent "Sorry Fugu" and award-winning Alice McDermott's sensuous "Enough."

| We liked Food Stories a lot. The texts were fine, but what made it sparkle was the staging and the extensive body training that each of the six actors brought to the production. It began with the opening of Sorry Fugu-- a very large, bald and corpulent chef g l i d i n g onstage, and built from there. Some of the best moments of the production were completely nonverbal, carried by the lissome bodies and movements of the cast. Kudos. |
