Becoming Grace

The Jewish Theatre
San Francisco, CA

Through Grace Paley's poems, short stories and essays, Newman portrays the fullness of a brilliant writer who speaks in the quintessential female voice.  A voice that harmonically combines the Yiddish and Russian cadences from her childhood, with the intimate banter of New York neighborhood women, and the unsentimental empathetic language of her social conscience and political work.
