Johnstone and Games
Johnstone Improv and Games
What you get:
Explore improv in the same way that Keith Johnstone, author of 'Impro', presents it and then take those ideas into your own work with scenes and games.
Rich Cox and William Hall, co-authors of Improv Notebook (.com), bring this work alive and create a place to explore these ideas and then put them into practice. Together we will explore how bringing the theories and skills of Keith Johnstone can produce work that is "alive" and effortless.
We'll look at how to set fear aside, delight your scene partner, and find the moments of pure inspiration that are waiting to come out and play.
Why to take this workshop:
The perfect place for some 'me' time...come and play game with people who want to play.
Learn few games that you can share with your group.
Meet fun people.
Add a few tools to your improv tool belt.
Laugh a lot.
Take your creative work to a deeper level.
Rich and William work to make the workshop safe...so that the you can make bold risks. Some workshops are more like boot camp than a creative space. This workshop is about getting it...not just doing it.
What's it like to work with William & Rich (from some former students):
"If you're ready for some 'positive' changes in your life and especially lots of belly laughs....say YES! to this Improv class. I've studied improv with William for four plus years and he's one of the best teachers around."
"Rich is an amazing coach. He has the perfect combination of structure and flexibility in his class."
"Thanks again for the wonderful workshop. I really appreciated "no" and "what comes next?". and really trying to find out what excites our partner, and at the end, what really inspires our selves."
"Learned some things I will surely use in my training in the coming months."
