Design In Depth: Transit-Oriented Development
SAF's Newest Design in Depth Lecture Series: Interacting with Design Lecture # 2: Transit-Oriented Development.
The Seattle Architecture Foundation invites you to the second event of our six part lecture series, Interacting with Design, an exploration of ways people and communities interact with design in both small and large developments. Large scale transit projects are creating new and exciting opportunities for the design and implementation of Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) in the region. Panelists from Sound Transit, the Seattle Planning Commission, Schemata Workshop, and HEWITT come together to discuss their varied roles and perspectives, from system wide station area planning to long range land use policy making to community engagement with the design process and completed transit related projects. Panelists include:
Josh Brower, Chair-Emeritus, Seattle Planning Commission Scott Kirkpatrick, Transit Oriented Development Manager, Sound Transit Mike Mariano, Principal, Schemata Workshop
This lecture will be Downstairs at Town Hall, 8th and Seneca from 7 to 8:30pm. Tickets are for sale at www.brownpapertickets.com for $20 each ($10 for students and SAF members).
