Kristen Graves /The Chapin Sisters
Kristen Graves Kristen Graves is a singer/songwriter and humanitarian from Fairfield, CT, who served as the official Connecticut State Troubadour through May 2015. The New York Times called her 'the new generation of folk' and CTPost.com said, "Graves, who performs about 175 shows throughout the country, has written and performed her own songs since 2000. She has released four albums, a Christmas CD and two EPs. Drawn to the folk/pop tradition, her lyrics are inspired by the people she meets and stories she has heard. Personal and powerful, she sings of a yearning to change things, finding her place in the world and urges others to become involved, too." She has shared stages with Pete Seeger, Peter Yarrow, Holly Near, Dar Williams, Guy Davis, Dan Zanes, David Amram and many more.
The Chapin Sisters The Chapin Sisters were founded in Los Angeles in 2004 as a trio featuring Abigail and Lily Chapin and their sister Jessica Craven. After the release of their first full-length record, the Lake Bottom LP in 2008, Jessica left the band to start a family. Abigail and Lily, now a duo, recorded and released the aptly titled follow-up Two to critical acclaim. Abigail and Lily are currently living in New York City. Their newest record, A Date With the Everly Brothers, was released in the spring of 2013.
