Yoni Ki Baat
The play "Yoni Ki Baat" is in English and was inspired by Eve Ensler's book, "Vagina Monologues," which was later made into a monologue production that has been performed at various universities/cities all over the US. The Vagina Monologues brings together a collection of stories from women from all walks of life. It raises awareness to many topics that we think about, but rarely discuss out loud.

Some information about this play - The Berkeley group, South Asian Sisters brought "Yoni Ki Baat" to bring awareness to the South Asian Community and share stories that are considered very "taboo" in South Asian culture. Yoni Ki Baat literally means talks of the vagina in Sanskrit. The stories includes the struggles and truths of growing up as a South Asian Women, but also some topics that are just never spoken about in South Asian Culture.

This play will bring you to tears and laughter as you witness these personal stories come to life. Some are just funny things that women go through, but some relate to based on the issues/ignorance we see within our community.

Yoni Ki Baat is coming to Chicago after many years thanks to Ekjut Theater! Please join us on October 4th for an incredible evening of courageous women speaking out and sharing some amazing stories.

More than a dozen actors will come on stage to bring these powerful stories.
