Sectional Sentiments
How many interactions, feelings, and memories do you have on a couch?  It is a place of comfort, a place of rest, a place of confrontation, a place of reflection, a place for family and friends, and sometimes it is a place for complete strangers.  Sectional Sentiments is a theater installation by Maria Caruso that invests in the beauty and sensitivity of simple movement and gesture through emotional exchanges.  With a live vocal score by Alexa Raquel ( Little Warrior) you will find yourself immersed in an evening centered around this ubiquitous piece of furniture.  This work was made possible by the Kelly Strayhorn Theater and premiered on August 17, 2011.
